Rabbi Ari Shishler
Rabbi Ari Shishler is a dynamic speaker who has inspired audiences from London to New York to Los Angeles and Melbourne. He founded the Chabad of Strathavon Jewish Life Centre in South Africa with his wife in 1999. He passionately translates spiritual principles into practical life lessons in his talks, articles, radio, and TV.
Public Presence
Rabbi Shishler hosted a weekly radio show from 2008 until 2023 before moving to start his own podcast. He has appeared on South African radio and TV shows. He writes a column in South Africa’s monthly Jewish Life magazine and shares Torah insights at the Times of Israel blog, on his blog, Chabad.org and via social media. He is the rabbi of Facebook’s largest “Ask the Rabbi” group.
Rabbi Shishler’s youngest daughter is the only person on the African continent with the ultra-rare neurodegenerative condition BPAN. Rabbi Shishler shares insight and inspiration from his family’s challenging journey tackling a rare disease.
